05/03/2024

National Space Day is celebrated on the first Friday in May and was created to inspire all of us in the pursuit of knowledge and progress of space. There’s so much going on in the universe, it definitely deserves a day to reflect.

Our Stay Sharp: Space Kit is just right for learning new information about our journeys into space and to see what life is like on board the International Space Station. Did you know that during a 24-hour period, the space station completes 16 orbits of Earth and the astronauts on board see 16 sunrises and sunsets every day? Or that the International Space Station is so enormous that it was launched in pieces and constructed in orbit? You can learn this and more in the “Behind the Scenes at the Space Station” book that is included in the kit.

The Space Kit also includes a Space Mission Matching Game. This game features imagery of the original mission patches of 20 iconic NASA endeavors and die-cut pieces inspired by the octagonal shape of the International Space Station. This is a space-themed matching game like no other.

The kit includes a Solar System puzzle, where you can learn all about the planets as you piece the puzzle together. Bonus, assemble the puzzle and watch it glow in the dark. Also included is the game Qwirkle™. This game is perfect for all ages and is a great way for all players to hone their spacial recognition, planning, and problem-solving skills.

All the games included in the kit can help improve dexterity and intellectual challenges, perfect for dementia, Alzheimer’s, or people with any form of memory loss. Games can provide the mental stimulation dementia sufferers need to stay engaged and alert while enjoying a vigorous memory workout.

Together these combine for ab out of this world space fun adventure. This kit also works wonderfully for anyone looking to learn more about space and our space travels.
