National Freezer Pop Day July 8

You can easily make your own freezer pops using nothing more than an ice cube tray, your favorite fruit juice and tooth picks. Kids will have fun helping pour the juice into the ice cube tray, and then waiting until it gets slushy in the freezer, at which point you add the toothpicks to be the "handles". This author is lucky enough to live right near a local freezer pop shop that made delicious flavors ranging from basil strawberry to coffee and cream, so we rarely make them ourselves, but I still remember how fun it was to make them when I was a kid.

So grab yourself a good book, a freezer pop and enjoy reading outdoors while cooling off to celebrate National Freezer Pop Day!
